Ms. Petty, a Middle Schooler attending the STTJ Seventh-Day Adventist School, who painted a spectacular photo of Maya Angelou poet, memoirist, singer, actor, and civil rights activist who inspired generations of women and girls. As a elected member of the 35th Legislature of the Virgin Islands, I remain committed to working with my colleagues and all stakeholders to bring real solutions to the people of the Virgin Islands. Already I have submitted legislations to increase the vesting period for senators from six (6) years to 10. To provide opportunities for low-income residents I have submitted legislation to provide preference for employment and business opportunities.
